How We Make AE Bats (Inside the Workshop)
1) Selecting Coconut Wood
We hand-select coconut wood boards with a strong, consistent grain. Each piece is checked for stiffness and weight before it becomes a bat.

2) Seasoning & Resting
The wood is air-dried and rested to stabilize weight and reduce moisture. This keeps the bat lively without becoming heavy.

3) Rough Shaping
On the lathe and bandsaw, our team cuts the blank, sets the spine, and roughs in the edge profile that gives tape-ball its punch.

4) Balancing & Profiling
This is where the magic happens. We remove grams where it matters, test pickup in the hand, and tune a mid-balance for all-round shots.

5) Sanding & Finish
Multiple sanding passes create a smooth, polished blade. The toe and edges are protected, then the bat is cleaned and prepared for graphics.

6) Stickers, Grip & Quality Check
AE stickers are applied carefully, the grip is fitted tight, and every bat gets a final inspection for weight, finish, and balance.

7) Ready to Play
Each bat is wiped down, photographed, and packed. From our workshop to your street or rooftop match—ready for highlights.

Note: AE bats are designed for tape-ball / soft tennis only (not for leather cricket balls).
People Behind the Bats
We’re a small team of makers and players. The same hands that shape your bat also love a quick night match after work. We measure, sand, and test—not to chase trends, but to keep your swing feeling clean and confident.
